We almost hit 70 degrees on Thursday! That was awesome, it was gorgeous! I opened up my back porch and the front door and had just the screen open for Buttercup. I'm ready for the weather to be like that every single day, rather than this roller coaster we're on.

Now, Spring does UNOFFICIALLY start this coming Wednesday (March 1st). I personally choose to go by this rather than the Equinox - I find it to easier and more optimistic too. LOL.

I'm beyond ready to open up the windows during the day in the house and drive around town with the windows down and music blaring! Let's do this!

This Thursday, I'm showcasing the latest in the John Wick franchise, John Wick: Chapter 4. I'll keep it real, I've never seen any of the John Wick movies, but this trailer has been playing before every movie I've been seeing lately! Plus I love Keeanu Reeves, but who doesn't!

So it's that time of year to plan my vacations for the year. I'm having a little difficulty deciding where to go. I'm not big on the beach or a cruise. Maybe use my mom's condo in Orlando this Fall? Haven't been there since 2014. It might be nice to stop in and say hi to the mouse and friends a day or two and take part in other activities around Central Florida.

Plus, there is always my family's vacation house in Tennessee. I LOVE going there. That is likely a given. Now, the question is when. I have to sit down and look at the calendar and figure soime things out. All while trying to manage the finances of said house - it can be frustrating and overwhelming at the same time. 

I'd also like to make another venture out to visit family in New Mexico in the coming years. The last time I was there was 2017. Or maybe head to Southern California to visit my brother and his family. I have a lot to decide on. Getting a headache thinking about it! LOL

Wednesdays here now have a new feature that will run for the foreseeable future, The Forgotten Jukebox Series.  I will spotlight a big hit song - post 1980 - that you just don't hear anywhere anymore.  All of these songs were very popular at the time, in fact most were number ones, and they all are from great artists that you know and love.  Many times we still play a ton of songs from these stars, but for some reason these songs over time have fallen through the Country Music Cracks pretty much everywhere, and have sadly been lost.  But for now, they have a new and safe home in my basement in My Forgotten Jukebox.

This is not a countdown and there is no order, rhyme or reason, just toss a quarter in and punch in some numbers - every song it great!

Cowboys Like Us  -  George Strait  -  2003  -  (Album Honkytonkville)

One of my favorite Strait songs that you just don't hear much anymore.  Maybe it's because this is one of the few songs from him that did NOT go number one.  It stalled out at number two!  This song makes you happy as it talks about the care free feeling being on the open road with friends. This song was a bit different for Strait as it was a much bigger and fuller and complete sound than many of his staples.  But one thing that is always true, his vocals do not get lost here and are incredible yet again.  This song is 3 and half minutes of feel good. 

If Lovin' You Is Wrong  (I Don't Wanna Be Right)  - Barbara Mandrell  -  1978

Released before my time on country radio but I played this for many years on great radio stations across the country.  This was a big hit for Barbara Mandrell, that catapulted her squarely into the brightest mainstream spotlight.  Mandrell had been around for a good while in Nashville but this huge country and crossover pop hit was career changing.  This was number one in 1972 for Luther Ingram on the R And B charts.  Mandrell took this to number one country and number six on the Adult Contemporary charts. This song was perfect for her, and was a very intrumental in getting many new fans to sample country.  This was a precursor to Urban Cowboy, and was a very important song for country at the time.  (Read- Three Big Songs, Three Great Women).  Mandrell went on to incredible heights in country, TV and pop culture. From her incredible musical and singing talent, performing, and the dozen instruments she played at a world class level, she is overall among the most talented people we have ever had in country.  (My Barbara Mandrell Profile)   (The Influencers Series)

Last Week - #44

One of my favorite movie franchises is the Scream movies. I've seen all of them, love Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, & David Arquette in the movies as well. They're great movies for a good jump here and there (which I do ALL.THE.TIME. HAHAHA).

Sadly Neve Campbell won't be back for this one, and I doubt David Arquette will, (spoiler alert here from #5) since he has been killed off. However, Courteney Cox is back which kind of ties things to the original. Plus a few other characters are back from #4 which isn't terrible either.

The movie is out March 10th - I'll let you know what I thought of it once I see it!
