Well, well, well... Eric Church fans have been Creepin since Monday...   Trying to win a pair of lawn tickets to Blossom June 24th from Guys Like Me on Tuesday.  And Homeboy today could have won Eric Church, Ashley McBryde and The Red Clay Strays Lawn Tickets.  Scott and Sarah give you the Eric Church Song Of The Day and the times to win each morning this week at 7:10am.  The Grand Prize Winner will be announced Monday with Scott and Sarah for the Pavilion Upgrade.

I figured might as well have some fun and try my play on Eric's Album Covers on my socials.  Obviously, this is from today and Eric does it better, it's just my homage to The Chief.   Tickets for Blossom Music Center the "Outsider's Revival Tour" go onsale Friday at 10am.

Kane Brown's Good Idea

This was the subject of my Country Quiz today and I thought I would give you a little more backstory. My question went like this: This singer and his wife had been wanting to record a duet, and he said when he heard their current single for the first time, he knew they found the one! Who is he? Of course the answer I was looking for was Kane Brown, and the song I was referring to is his and Katelyn Brown's current single "Thank God".

Now, you're probably wondering where the 'Good Idea' comes into play as I stated in the headline. The song wasn't originally pitched as a duet, but it was Kane's good idea to record it as a duet with his wife, Katelyn. He said in an interview, ""So my buddy Josh, that’s signed to my publishing deal, he sent me a song called 'Thank God' and I listened to it and I fell in love with it. And then kept listening to it and kept listening to it. I was like, this could be a duet. So I asked Kate and Kate fell in love with the song and now it’s one of my favorite songs off the album.”

We love it too, Kane and Katelyn!

WYNN - Sleeping At The Movies!

I saw this article and read it.  Yes, falling asleep during movies or TV at home is a problem lots of people have. I may be the wrong one to ask, because for the last 42 years I've basically been getting up at 230AM five days a week to do a radio show.  Yes, my schedule is all turned around and this is a problem for me at times.

I fall asleep at home watching movies especially if we start them too late.  I have never fallen asleep at the movie theater but I have seen and heard those that do.

So, if falling asleep is an issue for you while trying to watch a show or ball game, take a look at this article to see if it can help.

If you can stay awake long enough.........

I got new eyes!

On Tuesday afternoon I went to pick up my new glasses! I put them on and they were a perfect fit right away! No adjustments needed :). No new prescription or anything, just had extra $$$ at the end of 2022 that needed spent or I would lose it, so I got new frames.

I don't know about you, but I cannot go to look at glasses alone. I need a friend or family member with me to get their opinion on how things look on me. It seems so many frames are so alike anymore, it can be very difficult!

So far, I am very happy with my choice. I like the way they look and they are very comfortable!

2023 Album Releases

New Music in 2023... the Albums are shaping up like this already.

Hardy will drop "The Mockingbird & The Crow" this Friday (1/20).   Easton Corbin will also drop his album "Let's Do Country Right" this week.

Other albums to keep an ear open for...  Elle King "Come Get Your Wife" (1/27).

(2/10) Ernest "Flower Shops The Album: Two Dozen Roses" & Priscilla Block "Welcome to the Block Party Deluxe Album".

(2/17) Jordan Davis "Bluebird Days" & Nate Smith "Nate Smith" and Craig Campbell "The Lost Files".

(2/24) Dierks Bentley "Gravel & Gold" & Muscadine Bloodline " Teenage Dixie".

March will be Luke Combs, Alana Springsteen and plenty more...

I'm pumped for this list, so far, and that is ONLY into March... But the "plenty more" might be the most intriguing part! With Gabby Barrett, Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Brantley Gilbert and who knows who else will be dropping albums.  Either way 2023 is getting off to a decent start album wise.

Moving Again!

After months of saving, searching, applying, and touring, I have finally found a new place to call home! I'm so excited to have a place that I can call my own. I've been living with my family for such a long time, and I'm so grateful to have had a place to stay while I found somewhere to live! I'm so excited for so many things, cooking in my own kitchen, a new yard, a porch, and a shorter commute! The only downside: bills. I don't want to buy new furniture either, but I'm excited to have new furniture, if that makes sense.

Now all I have to do is pack, prep, and get moving!

Taylor Swift was a polarizing figure in country music. She left us for Pop a few years ago and I respect that, especially not using us as a safety net as has been done many times prior.  When she was country, there was great success and a ton of new and younger fans. I felt this was a very important song for her.  Until this song, Swift was recording songs that had that wonderful feel of youth.  It was easy to see why young fans loved her dearly.  But to me, this song was the bridge to a far more adult sound and Swift.  It's a song of incredible sorrow, grown up regret, and total accountability. Not many songs have the guts to be that vulnerable anymore.  In short, it's very real.  The fantastic musical arrangement was very different for her and this qualifies as a solid power ballad.  After hearing this the first few times, it was clear Taylor Swift was capable of much more than we had heard up until this.  Fantastic song, written and sung by the right artist  -  at the right time.  Perfection in many ways from a remarkable story teller. This song doesn't age at all, as it still sounds great.

Last Week #49

Other Articles I've Written Featuring Taylor Swift

For the past three years I've been writing my Country Music Memory Lane Series and my Mega Star Series.  They post here on Thursdays.

Over the past 42 years I've played Country Music continuously on the radio, I am featuring 50 songs that are ones I have enjoyed playing the most, and in many cases still play -  on the radio.

I am NOT saying these are the BEST songs, just the ones I enjoy the most.

WYNN - Eat Of The Week!

Food secret - I love asparagus, I just don't know how to spell it without looking it up.  It's one of my favorite veggies. I love to grill it, or make it in the oven with olive oil and sea salt.  But there are many ways to make it.  Ken Stewart's in Akron breads it and deep fries it as an appetizer, and it's GREAT!   If you don't really know how to do it, or are looking for ways to freshen it up, here are some really great recipes!

Enjoy -

A great place to go!

I don't know if I have mentioned before, but my family has been vacationing in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee (Dolly Parton's hometown) for almost 25 years. It's so beautiful there with so much to do for everyone. Did I mention the people? They are so nice!

One of the most fun things to do there is spend a day (or two) at Dollywood. The park offers something for everyone! Shopping, eating, live shows, and rides! The rides are starting to really be top notch! Plus, the lines are not nearly as long as you find at that amusement park in Sandusky, lol (ssshhhh).

If you and your family are looking for a place to go for vacation and have never been, I highly suggest going to Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg, TN. You will have SO MUCH FUN and will not regret it!
