WYNN - LOCAL FUN! See A B-17 Bomber!

Written by

How cool is this?  You can tour a B-17 WWII Bomber through Sunday at CAK!

And if you have a decent piggy bank, you can even take a flight in it!  These are a very rare thing, and it's only here for a little while. There are only a few left in the world, and visiting it helps keep them flying!

My dad was in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps, but he didn't fly in a B-17.  He was a tail-gunner in a B-25 Bomber in the South Pacific, and it was a smaller plane.  The B-17 was called the Flying Fortress, as it was the big Bomber till the B-29 showed up.

Here are some authentic pics from my dad from WWII

This is my dad (far left under the guns)  and his crew, in the Philippines in 1945, and him posing with another plane another time.

And this is a very cool framed up piece from my office at home.  The flag has 48 stars you'll notice, and it was sewn inside his leather coat.  It tells you what to do with him if his plane was shot down. It has 7 friendly languages on it.  It was to get him back to his own lines so he could continue to fly in time.  It also has stats from his squadron from the war.

But this week and weekend, here is all the info you need!

ALL THE INFO IS HERE!
