My Top Ten: Favorite Movie Cars!

Written by

At most any given moment, I've got cars on the brain. I will halt a conversation, gasp, and point as if I saw a pig flying through the air whenever I see something sweet on the road. I've caused drivers to worry that danger is impending with how intensely I have been captivated by an automobile. I love classic cars, big trucks, little trucks, sports cars, luxury vehicles, muscle cars, vans, wagons, off-roaders, tuners, and more; but I'm especially excited when I see a movie car!

There are so many examples of cool movie cars, so as always, it's been difficult to narrow down this list to just ten. Certain cars on this list I would drive daily, whilst others I wouldn't want to get a single rain drop on. We'll go into this with the assumption that I would own and regularly drive these cars, to car shows at a minimum. For this list, I'm talking about movie and not TV cars, and vehicles that are physically real as props or otherwise. Without further ado, here's my top ten movie cars!

10. Aston Martin DB5 (James Bond)

9. Brian's Supra (The Fast and the Furious)

8. Plymouth Belvedere GTX (Tommy Boy)

7. Batmobile, Tumbler Rendition (Batman)

6. The Mystery Machine (Scooby Doo)

5. Toyota 4x4 Extra Cab Pickup (Back to the Future)

4. Bumblebee (Transformers)

3. Dom's Charger (The Fast and the Furious)

2. Trans Am (Smokey and the Bandit)

1. The General Lee (The Dukes of Hazzard)

Yeeeeeee-haw! Do you have a favorite movie car? And what did I forget? I'd love to hear what you think about it! You can reach me at the WQMX studio on our phone or text line sponsored by Cricket Wireless at 330-370-2000.
