You now have a chance to get quite close...maybe too close for some with a few of the animals at the Akron Zoo. The zoo is beginning their new "Get Closer Tours" where you can get a guided tour of the facilities where some of the animals stay at night, and maybe even FEED the lion!

Josh Turner is about to drop a new album - his first in about three years!

He will release his 10th studio ablum called "This Country Music Thing" on August 16th. It's been a minute for Turner, considering his last top 10 hit was "Hometown Girl" in 2016. Definitely check that out next month! It'll be cool to hear from Josh Turner again. :)

I hope you had an amazing long holiday weekend! I hope you got to spend time with family, see some fireworks, and kept all 10 fingers ;)

On Thursday, I had lunch with my mom and then went to see a movie that evening. On Friday, I went out for some lunch and then played a round of 18 - of mini golf at Rolling Greens (fun courses there). Saturday was a quiet day, and on Sunday I went and renewed my gym membership followed by some grocery shopping, and then another 18 holes of mini golf...this time at Downview in Cuyahoga Falls. After that, went and got ice cream at Pav's! YUMMY!

No fireworks for me this year, but it was still a great weekend! Now, back to work :)

We have the rest of the week off due to the 4th of July holiday here at WQMX. The weekend staff will keep you entertained and keep the prizes coming your way!

It had been reported that Donovan Mitchell was happy where he is in Cleveland and wanted to look toward the future. Speculation still ran rampant as to whether he'd stay in town or not. As of today, the speculation ends!

Let's face it, probably in large part thanks to hiring Kenny Atkinson as new head coach, Donovan Mitchell and the Cavs agreed on a 3 year, $150 million contract extension. He has been averaging 28 points per game and has become a true leader for this team.

Now that this piece is also in place, they can really get down to business and try to get deeper into the playoffs! GO CAVS!

George Strait and Keith Urban are both among the class of 36 celebrities getting a star on the Hollywwod Walk of Fame in 2025. No word yet on exactly WHEN the event will happen, but that is a big deal for sure!
