Lady A talked to the other Lady A...
CMA is planning more specials...

It's been a rough go for Lady A. The trio changed their name from Lady Antebellum because of connotations related to racism and the civil war, and then they learned that blues singer Anita White was already using the name.
Now, the band Lady A has shared that they had connected with woman Lady A. While we don't know a result, in an Instagram post, they say that they are moving forward with positive solutions and common ground.

The CMA has added more programming to its summer lineup. You can check out CMA's Summer Stay-Cay will stream on July 1st. 
Summer Stay-Cay will be hosted by Jimmie Allen and Lindsay Ell, and will feature 50 unique socially distanced performances, games and question-and-answer segments. 
Performers will be announced soon. The show will stream on the CMA's YouTube Channel and Facebook page.

Father's Day is Sunday. We say this all the time on the show- don't forget about dad!!!

My dad is one of kind. One of the best. To me and my sister he is the best. He is funny, he is humble, he knows pretty much everything, he is a shoulder to cry on, he the best listener, he has always known what to say to make us feel better no matter the issue, he really is our calm. He knows what he likes and what he doesn't. He loves history, crossword puzzles, dark chocolate and me! HAHAHA!

In alllll seriousness, I make it no secret that I adore my parents. I look at my dad and thank my lucky stars that he's mine. Growing up, I just liked being around him. Riding in the car going anywhere and everywhere, watching him trim bushes, sitting on the porch with him- I just liked being around him. He's a cool dude. Have I mentioned he's funny?!

I have so many examples of his unique sense of humor throughout my life- some examples got me in trouble in school, many got me eye rolls from family and friends. Here's one of my all time favorites. He told me this joke when I was planning my wedding:

2 antennas got married. The wedding was ok, but the reception was was great!

Yeah, after I was done laughing- I put the joke on my wedding program. It was a huge hit!!!!!

There are two Lady As...

Carly Pearce and Lee Brice's duet "I Hope You're Happy Now" is at the top of the Mediabase country singles chart this week, giving Carly her second chart-topper since 2017's "Every Little Thing."

Lady A -- who changed their name from Lady Antebellum because of the racial connotations of the word, "antebellum," is getting heat from Anita White, blues singer who's been using the name "Lady A" for the last 20 years. 
A rep for the band says that they weren't aware of the other Lady A and will reach out to her.
