I live with a dog named Sif. Sif is a Shiba Inu. Shiba Inu's have 2 shedding seasons a year and it's just awful. It seems like no matter how much you brush the fluff just won't go away. I honestly just feel bad for her at this point, how do I remedy this? She doesn't seem to mind too much but it definitely looks like she's having an allergic reaction or something. We're going to take her to her first ever grooming appointment on Sunday to try and fix things. Wish us luck!

Ingrid Andress has announced her follow up to her #1 single "Wishful Drinking" with Sam Hunt. Ingrid says her new ballad "Feel Like This" is about "falling in love with a new person and it's happy and it's wholesome". She goes on to say that she wrote the song when she was falling in love with her current boyfriend, and she wrote it with Julia Michaels, who was also falling in love with her boyfriend at the same time, so it became a huge lovefest of a song.

This is the next single off of her latest album Good Person.  

Wednesday is my mom's birthday. We'll just say she's retired and "mature" enough to collect social security ;). Including her, there are three people in my family who have birthdays within a couple weeks of Christmas/New Years. I AM NOT jealous of them for this...I would hate that! lol

Luckily for them we have always tried our best to distinguish between the holidays and their birthday.

We will be taking her out for dinner on Friday night - look for us...it's gettin' lit!!!

In many ways, I would not be where I am without her. <3

Happy New Year and welcome to 2023! How long will it take you to correctly write that on your checks? ;)

Hope you had a fun New Years Eve. Mine was very pleasant and simple.  I ran a few errands and got my new snowblower all ready for any snow that comes our way. Then, I had Mexican for dinner with my mom and after that just went home.

I hung out with the cat on the couch watching TV. I was busy watching Netflix and didn't even see the ball drop. It's okay though, I had dinner with a friend of mine from high school on Friday, and dinner with my ex on Wednesday - so I wasn't bummed about being at home Saturday night. 

2022 was amazing for us here at WQMX, so let's TRY to make 2023 EVEN BETTER! - OK, GO!!!

The Holidays are over for another year and that for me is a double edged sword.  They are fun, although very busy, hectic and go way too fast.  I always travel some at the holidays and I love that.  The general good feeling is a blessing and so is the time off for many of us.  BUT - sheesh the cookies.

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!  You can't get away from them.  Now I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but.....

I don't know about you, but cookies are my downfall.  Oh, I like a good piece of pie, or cake, ice cream too.  But cookies?  Well, they are just in a different league.  They are everywhere around the holidays, you can't escape them. You make some, you're given some, you buy some, and they are always right there!  RIGHT THERE in the kitchen, and I can hardly walk by a plate of cookies and not grab one - or a few.

They are so easy to eat, no plate, no napkin, no knife, no cutting, or opening the fridge, or putting anything back.  You don't have to wash a fork, or find a plastic one.  It's just the easiest thing on the planet.  You walk by, you grab a cookie and by the time you're done walking through the kitchen, it's gone. It's perfect.

And don't we all think that it's "just a cookie."  It's not a huge piece of pie or cake and its' way better for us, and in the long and literal run, it probably is.  But it's the half dozen part in a single day that gets you.

It was a heck of a ride in 2022... Buh-bye to the year that was.  Let's make 2023 BIGGER THAN EVER!
