Lynn Kelly

staff tim homeA veteran broadcaster and no stranger to the airwaves to Akron listeners. Lynn joined WQMX in 2007 and after working in many formats. she’s settled into the country music format nicely.

Born and raised in Akron, on North Hill. Lynn feels fortunate to have grow up with family all around. Getting started in radio took her out of the area for several years, but she never left Ohio. Lynn is proud to have worked for 3 great radio station in Akron, WKDD, The Summit and now WQMX.

Lynn resides on the west side with husband Ray. They are now empty nester's and soon to be first time grandparents. Daughter Olivia and husband Rupert are expecting a child and reside in the U.K. Son Andrew moved to New York during the pandemic and is now floor manager at Dover Street Market in Manhattan.  The last 'child' in the house is sheepdoodle Charlie!

Working with many charities has been at the core of her career and was honored by the American Cancer Society with a National award for Volunteer of the Year for her 20+ years of service.

Lynn loves spending the heart of the day on the radio, keeping you company while you’re at work or at home. She also hosts the daily feature 'The All Request Country Buffet.' Back To School

Losing a family member is rough.

So a Facebook memory popped up today.  In 2015 I had to make the hardest decision concerning my beloved Hunter. She had not been eating much for weeks.  The vet was giving her fluids and a steroid shot every few weeks which perked her up. 71st Italian American Fest begins tomorrow!

Growing up in an Italian family meant lots of relatives. There were two huge events every year. The Biasella reunion (my Grandfathers namesakes), and the Italian Festival. Sad to see Donzell's Garden Center close

It was a yearly stop during the holiday's to see the Christmas diplays and pick up some fresh greenery. After 66 years Donzell's Garden Center on Waterloo Rd is closing.  Lack of other businesses is being blamed.  There is just no traffic on that side of town.
