WYNN - Country Music Memory Lane - Terri Clark

Written by
Sharla asked about her favorite, and I couldn't wait to write this.  When I put these together, I always look for intangibles that the artist bought us outside of just great music as I saw it.  She brought us a very different image for women in country at the time, playing an electric guitar, her jeans, dusters, big belt buckles, boots, t-shirts, cowboy hat, and her very, very country sound.  I loved Terri Clark. I…

WYNN - Tea Me!

Written by
Full disclosure, I am not a huge tea drinker.  I don't dislike iced tea, it's just not my first choice.  I am a coffee drinker, so hot tea sits in the back seat. Green tea, tastes really good, and makes me feel good when I drink it. But the whole tea bag thing is just not my "cup of tea."  Heating water, steeping the bag, and the spent bag on the table waiting to be…

WYNN - Just Fun To Remember

Written by
This week my friend and co-worker Tony Mazur took a road trip, and found himself in Columbus and on the site of an old baseball stadium.  Cooper Stadium on the near south side of town, has been replaced after many years of service to the Columbus Jets, then the Clippers (Indians AAA team).  There are only overgrown remnants left.  It closed in 2008 and this is what it looks like today.  He sent me these…

WYNN - Let's EAT!

Written by
Even though the weekend was great and a ton of us got on the grill, sadly, colder weather is on the way, and we will cook differently We just got a new crock-pot, and it worked great last week on a delicious pork roast. We needed a new one because we do use it a lot. Maybe you do too.   So I ran across this site to help you rev up your crock-pot game. GREAT…

WYNN - Country Music Memory Lane - The Bellamy Brothers

Written by
Roni asked me about her favorite as she loved the Bellamy Brothers, and so did I.  They took a very different path to country, that's for sure.  They were, and still are, from very rural Florida (San Antonio area).  Two huge breaks helped launch their incredible career, and they would then take that great fortune and rattle off  (20)  #1 Country Hits and many other terrific top ten's.  They were one of the very big…

WYNN - Not Sandwich Month - But Love A Good Sandwich

Written by
August is National Sandwich Month, but I have to admit a good sandwich can't wait, and I ran across this cool article. So, even though it's the start of November, let's sandwich UP! GREAT SANDWICHES!
There are thousands of things I love about our Country Format. I have played country music on the radio for over 40 years, and one thing that is constant with us is transition. We've been through lot of it, and seems it transitions more every few years  I wrote an article about it a few weeks ago  (That Ain't Country). But even though we are nimble, we are still the best, and we have some…
