Laine Hardy is headed back to American Idol...

Lauren Alaina isn't letting a little social distancing slow her down or her writing during the lock down. 

She says, "I'm writing on Zoom. I can connect with the other songwriters and, hopefully, I can finish this album in this time and have that ready to go when we all get back to our lives.”

American Idol will welcome back season 17 winner and rising country star Laine Hardy to the show this Sunday as the show continues it's live rounds.

Idol is finishing out their season with the live rounds being broadcast from each of the contestant's and the judge's respective homes, as well as host Ryan Seacrest. The auditions, Battle Rounds and Knockouts were all recorded well before the pandemic and shelter-in-place orders.
