Carrie Underwood switches labels…
Toby Keith is headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame…

Carrie Underwood has signed with Capitol Records Nashville (part of Universal Music Group), meaning she’s no longer on Sony Music Nashville. The label switch marks an end to a nearly 12-year partnership with Sony and Arista Nashville, where she has released all 5 of her albums. No word on the reason for the departure because over the years, the partnership has seen Carrie become one of the most successful female country artists of all time.

In discussing her future, Carrie said, “I also want to be sure to thank every single person who has played a part in my recording career so far. I will be forever grateful to them for all we achieved together.”

And the Pro Football Hall of Fame is going country again this summer. Toby Keith is set to headline the Concert for Legends on Sunday, August 6th. Tickets to see the Big Dog Daddy go on sale on April, 7th at 10am. Red Solo Cups not included!

Rhett Akins is excited to be a grandpa…
Sam Hunt says new music is priority #2…

Rhett Akins is about to be a grandfather twice over, and he couldn’t be more excited. In a recent interview, the songwriter shared that excitement for his son, Thomas Rhett, and daughter-in-law, Lauren, on not only expecting their first child, but adopting as well. He shared the story on how the couple spilled the beans on their expanding family and in the process, the proud future grandpa let it slip that Thomas and Lauren’s adopted child is also girl, which his family has no experience with.

Every one on Rhett’s side of the family has boys, so these girls will be a welcome change!

And for those hoping for a new album from Sam Hunt- you will have to wait a little bit longer — at least until he gets married. Sam says that new music is taking the back seat to his wedding.
He says, “I am working on new music and new songs. But that will be priority No. 2 behind planning a wedding and hanging with my fiancée, who will be my wife. Instead of waiting to have a full record done to put out new music, I’d like to be able to put out new music as I continue to work on it as we go.”

Sam will be at Blossom on June 1st.

Thomas Rhett is teaming up with Maren Morris on his new single…
Jon Pardi and his boots are at #1 again…

Thomas Rhett teamed up with Maren Morris for his next single, "Craving You."
He says, "I remember hearing it and was immediately blown away by the story behind the longing of this guy who can’t wait to see his girl again. There’s this '80s vibe that’s rocking throughout this track that makes it really euphoric. It was so nice to be able to work with Maren, whose voice is undeniably powerful and soulful, and just really adds a lot of intensity to the song.”
The song premieres on March 31st.

As predicted, Jon Pardi is sitting at #1 on the Mediabase Country Singles chart this week with “Dirt on My Boots.” This is his second #1 single and his second single about boots- with his first being “Head Over Boots.” Those boots have been good to Jon!
