The 52nd ACM nominations are out…
Chris Stapleton announces a new album and a tour…

The nominees for the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards were announced and Keith Urban leads with seven nominations, including Entertainer of the Year. Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris each have six nominations. Florida Georgia Line has five nods, including  Entertainer of the Year. Tim McGraw scored five nominations and Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton have three nominations each.
   
The ACM Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, air April 2nd on CBS.

 

Chris Stapleton is set to release the follow-up to his highly acclaimed album Traveller. The still-untitled album is due out May 5th.
He also announced the 32-city All-American Roadshow tour, which kicks off on May 5th in Georgia and wraps up on August 25th in New Hampshire. Anderson East, Brent Cobb, Brothers Osborne, and Margo Price will open at various dates.
Tickets go on sale on February 24th at 10 a.m. and he will be at Blossom on August 18th!

Reba has another #1 album…
Thomas Rhett and his wife are having babies…


Huge congrats to Reba McEntire! She has the number 1 album this week on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and the Christian Albums chart with her collection of gospel and inspirational tunes Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope. This is her 13th #1 album.
The project sold over 55,000. It also lands at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. This is Reba’s first full gospel collection and this chart-topping debut gives her the title of having the most #1 country albums among women!

 

Huge news for county’s cutest couple- babies are on the way for Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren. Yep, babies. 
They had given up trying to get pregnant and started the process of adopting a baby from Africa. Then she got pregnant. Lauren is due in August, but the adoption should be finalized way before that. The couple is beyond excited!

Zac Brown Band canceled the Southern Ground Music Festival...

RaeLynn announced her husband enlisted in the military...

Zac Brown Band canceled the Southern Ground Music Festival this year. 

An announcement on the festival's website says they need the time to focus on their new album, Welcome Home. It was to be held in May in Charleston, South Carolina. Welcome Home is set to release on May 12th. 

The Southern Ground Music Festival will return in 2018.

 

RaeLynn took to social media yesterday to make a big announcement. Her husband, Joshua Davis, has enlisted in the military.

She posted on Instagram, “My husband has always supported me in everything that I’ve wanted to do, yesterday began a new adventure for us. Joshua left for basic training to serve in our military and serve his country. Saying I’m proud doesn’t scratch the surface of how I feel.”  

RaeLynn is set to release her new album, WildHorse, on March 24. She will open Blake Shelton on his Doing It to Country Songs Tour, which starts tomorrow in California.

Luke and Dierks to host the ACMs again...
Dustin Lynch is at #1 this week...

It’s official- Dukes is back for another year of hosting!

Yes that’s right, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley are back to host the Academy of Country Music Awards! The show airs live on CBS on April 2nd.

 

Big congrats to Dustin Lynch for scoring the #1 spot on the Mediabase Country singles chart this week with “Seein’ Red.” This is his fourth consecutive #1 following “Mind Reader” back in May, “Hell of a Night” in 2015, and “Where It’s At” in 2014.

Country winners at the Grammys...
Cassadee Pope got engaged...

Country winners at the Grammys include :
Maren Morris won Best Solo Country Performance for My Church.
Sturgill Simpson won the Best Country Album Grammy for A Sailor's Guide to Earth.
Pentatonix and Dolly Parton won for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Jolene."
"Humble and Kind" won for Best Country Song.

And even Hillary Scott of Lady A and her family won for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Thy Will" and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Love Remains.


Even though Cassadee Pope didn't win the Grammy she was nominated for, she is still celebrating.
   
On Friday she took to social media to announce her engagement to longtime boyfriend Ryan Dawson. The couple has been dating for over six years.
