Justin Moore teased on his social media pages a few days ago that the video for "You, Me, and Whiskey" with Priscilla Block would be coming out soon. He even posted a trailer so we knew it had to be a matter of days. Tonight is the night! Not only will Justin and Priscilla premiere the video but they will also host a livestream in celebration! 

Of course, it is ok if you miss it, because you will be able to watch it anytime on YouTube, both the livestream and the video, of course!

First of all, I have to say Happy Birthday to Tyler Hubbard! What an exciting time for him too! He just released his debut solo self-titled album on Friday and he has a made a couple of TV appearances in support of that album. This morning he was on Good Morning America, and last night he was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon! On both shows he sang his current single, "Dancin' In The Country"!

Tyler Hubbard released his self-titled debut solo album today! It includes his singles "5 Foot 9" and "Dancin' In The Country". He'll be making some TV appearances in support of the new album so make sure you set your DVR! Monday, 1/30 he'll be on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and on his birthday, Tuesday 1/31, he'll be on Good Morning America.

During the WQMX Country Cafe we debuted a new song from Chris Janson called "All I Need Is You". Chris said in his story behind the song video that the song is a "super special love song" about his wife Kelly and that "at the end of the day like the song says, really nothing else matters. As long as we have our health and our happiness and our love. And we do. And I'm grateful for that." 

This morning, Scott and Sarah premiered the next single from Cole Swindell, which we played again in the WQMX Country Cafe! Oh and we'll play it again tonight during New at Nine with Rachel Evans! Cole says "'Drinkaby' is break up song, but it's a fun, uptempo break up song. A lullaby may help you fall asleep, but a "Drinkaby" hopefully helps you get over that ex that you've been trying to get over."

Other new releases today include the Nate Smith x MOTi "Whiskey on You" remix, Craig Campbell's album Tractor Songs, Elle King's new album Come Get Your Wife. Luke Combs also previewed a new song that will be available on his upcoming new album Gettin' Old that will drop on 3/24! Last night was a big night on late night TV! First off, Hailey Whitters made her late night debut singing her debut single "Everything She Ain't" on JImmy Kimmel Live!  What a moment for the rising star:

 HARDY and Lainey Wilson made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to sing their duet "wait in the truck", and once again (thinking back to their CMA performance) this was soooo good! 

HARDY then made an appearance on the third hour of the TODAY show to talk about his new album and sing another song off of his new album "the mockingbird & THE CROW", this one's called "screen":

You've been hearing "'Bout Damn Time" in Your Country and yesterday the duo released the official music video for the song! They came to the station not too long ago and these guys, Leo Brooks and Andrew Milsaps, they are so much fun and this video definitely reflects that. The video has the duo working the bar and having a lot of fun with it up until they get a text from Jimmy Allen to head to the Grand Ole Opry telling the story of their real life debut!

Thomas Rhett just sent the follow up to twenty #1 singles to radio, and we served up his new song during the WQMX Country Cafe today! "Angels (Don't Always Have Wings)" appears on his most recent album Where We Started and was written by Thomas, Julian Bunetta, Jaten Dimsdale and Josh Thompson. The song celebrates unconditional, patient love.

Thomas said in a press release, "This is my favorite song from the album. I wrote it from a personal perspective, but I think it will resonate with a lot of people,” said Thomas Rhett. “It’s about how none of us are perfect, and how lucky we are to have those people in our lives who show up and love us despite our flaws. I often look at my wife and think she’s truly an angel, for the love and grace she shows me every single day.”

The wait is finally over, HARDY dropped his new album 'the mockingbird & THE CROW' at midnight today! The new album which is half country and half rock, already has two singles that are climbing up two different charts. You've heard "wait in the truck" featuring Lainey Wilson on 94.9 WQMX and his single "JACK" has been played on our sister station 107.3 Alternative Cleveland! We're not kidding when we say we are HUGE supporters of HARDY! 

When HARDY first announced that he would be releasing his sophomore album, he also previewed "here lies country music", "TRUCK BED", the title track "the mockingbird & THE CROW". Those songs definitely left fans, including myself, really wanting to hear the rest of this album. The titles stylized with lowercase titles for the country side, and all caps for the rock side so you know which is which, but it really doesn't matter. All the songs showcase his brilliant song writing and each song recorded with passion in the vocals as only HARDY could to tell the stories in each song.

As a fan, I love every song on this album, but I couldn't wait to hear "happy". When Sarah Kay asked HARDY which of the songs off of the album was his favorite, that was the one. All of the songs on the album were co-written by HARDY, except that one, that one was all him. It's a song that personifies the word 'happy', the lyrics turn 'happy' into a person and it is so good! This was the subject of my Country Quiz today and I thought I would give you a little more backstory. My question went like this: This singer and his wife had been wanting to record a duet, and he said when he heard their current single for the first time, he knew they found the one! Who is he? Of course the answer I was looking for was Kane Brown, and the song I was referring to is his and Katelyn Brown's current single "Thank God". 

Now, you're probably wondering where the 'Good Idea' comes into play as I stated in the headline. The song wasn't originally pitched as a duet, but it was Kane's good idea to record it as a duet with his wife, Katelyn. He said in an interview, ""So my buddy Josh, that’s signed to my publishing deal, he sent me a song called 'Thank God' and I listened to it and I fell in love with it. And then kept listening to it and kept listening to it. I was like, this could be a duet. So I asked Kate and Kate fell in love with the song and now it’s one of my favorite songs off the album.”

Chris Young has sent his next single to radio! Chris released two new songs that will be on his upcoming album, which he says is pretty much done, and "Looking For You" will be the lead single. It's a song about love at first sight, sometimes you're looking and you can't find it, then it just happens out of nowhere. 

Jelly Roll earned his first #1 single on the country charts this week with "Son Of A Sinner" and he's already sent his next single to radio! Jelly Roll says "Need A Favor" is about "Talking to God in that darkest moment. That moment that we've all had where we've hit our knees and asked him for the biggest favor of our life knowing that we haven't talked to him in a while."
