Miranda Lambert's husband Brendan McLouglin is taking a short break from his duties with the New York Police Department. 
According to People, he is on an "authorized leave of absence." Due to confidentiality, no other details are available, however, the police department says that an officer can take leave for a variety of reasons.
The couple was recently photographed enjoying some time in Lake Tahoe.

Congratulations to Eric Church as his single “Some Of It” is sitting at the top of both the Mediabase country singles chart and the Billboard Country Airplay Chart.

I had the pleasure of being a judge for the Ms. Wheelchair USA competition on Saturday night. Eight women came together and to say their stories are inspiring is kind of an understatement. They are remarkable women, who against odds I can not fathom, want to help educate others.

Each July, these women come to Cuyahoga Falls the home of the Dane Foundation. The Dane Foundation is the main sponsor of Ms. Wheelchair USA. Their mission is to provide for the unique needs for those with physical and developmental disabilities. Ms. Wheelchair USA becomes an ambassador for implementing this.

During the pageant, the ladies must present a marketing plan on how they will help those with disabilities and The Dane Foundation. These women are sharp and amazing. They truly all deserved the title, but only one could win and this year, Ms. Wheelchair North Carolina Brittany Hawley won.

I look forward to watching her progress on social media, along with all other ladies!

Keith Urban is celebrating…

There’s a new girl group ready to make some great music- The Highwomen -- it is comprised of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby. The ladies just announced they will release their self-titled album on September 6th and it features their single Redesigning Women.
The album also features Sheryl Crow playing bass and doing some background vocals, plus Jason Isbell, who is Amanda’s husband, on guitar.

Keith Urban is celebrating 2 big anniversaries. 
His self-titled solo debut album will be released on vinyl to commemorate its 20th anniversary. And his Defying Gravity album will also be released on vinyl to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Fun facts- Defying Gravity was the first of his albums to top the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, and it also hit number-one on the Top Country Albums chart. 
Both will be available on September 13th.

I was down in Sugarland on Friday night and was so happy! I drove 3 hours to see them just outside of Dayton.

As you may know, they are my favorite and on a hot, summer night- they did not disappoint. They sang all the hits, all the fan favorites and some album cuts that make us Sugar Cubes go nuts. I danced, I sang my face off and I melted a bit because it was super hot. Worth the sweat, the drive and all the things.

These two, their music and their chemistry just move me. That is the best way for me to sum it up. We all have a Sugarland. The band or artist that just makes you happy, the one you would drag your friends to see, or drive 3 hours to see. You know!

And, this venue- The Rose Center at the Heights, it is delightful. It an outdoor venue, but all under a pavilion. It seats about 4,000-5,000 people and it was easy to find, navigate and park.

I just had the best time as always- down in Sugarland!
