Joe Diffie passed away yesterday...

Joe Diffie died yesterday from complications of the coronavirus at the age of 61, after being diagnosed last week. He rose to popularity in the 90s, had 5 #1s and charted more than 30 singles, including "Third Rock From The Sun," "Bigger Than The Beatles," "John Deere Green" and "Pickup Man." Joe was an ACM Award and Grammy winner. He was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1993. He is survived by five children and wife Tara.

McDonald's is removing all-day breakfast to simplify operations during the pandemic.

Overall we are moving less and sleeping more during the stay at home order.

About 3% of us have eaten dinner in the bathtub.

Yesterday marked a sad day in country music and in general. Joe Diffie died due to complications from coronavirus. He was 61. Joe was survived by his 5 children and wife Tara. So sad.

He is a legend, a great voice and from everything I ever noticed, a great guy. He personified 90s country. The voice, the music, the lyrics, the hair, everything. Billy Bob loves Charlene. I love that line! When the announcement came down on Friday that he had tested positive for the virus, I was shocked, but I never thought he would not recover. This is shocking and if anything this makes me take this entire situation that much more serious. I don't know if he had pre existing conditions or what, if anything played a role in his death, but he perished by Sunday. So sad.

I do know that his music is awesome, and something we will have forever. Everyone loves John Deere Green, Pick Up Man, and Third Rock From the Sun and all of his great 90s hits. He is a legend. When I heard he was coming back to the area to be a part of Neon Nights later this summer, I was thrilled. I wanted to see him live. He is the 90s, he is and still will influence the artists of today. I mean Thomas Rhett wrote the song 1994 about him that Jason Aldean recorded.

It is a sad time indeed for country music. So we will listen to Joe Diffie music and be thankful we had one of the best singers in him for the time we did.

ACM announced at home performers...
Thomas Rhett reschedules some shows...

The Academy of Country Music has announced performers for the ACM Presents: Our Country special, airing in place of the postponed ACM Awards.
 
Those who will be sharing performances from their homes are Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Brandi Carlile, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town,Tim McGraw, Old Dominion,Thomas Rhett, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. 
There will also be special collaborations between Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker, Kane Brown and John Legend, and Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
ACM Presents: Our Country airs on Sunday, April 5th on CBS. 

Thomas Rhett is the latest artist to reschedule dates on his summer tour. The rescheduled dates on Center Point Road tour include the one at Blossom in June. The new date is now September 10th.
He wrote on Instagram, "I’m keeping you and your loved ones in my thoughts and prayers. Can’t wait to be back on the road with y’all soon."
Tickets will be honored for the new dates.

Sign me up is what I say. My inside scoop tells me these drinks could be coming to stores as soon as today in some stores nearby. I will keep you so posted, but keep your eyes open while you are shopping.

Other things are much more important at this time. We need to feed the family, make sure loved ones are taken care of- of course.
