Born and raised in the Akron area, Eric knew from an early age he wanted to work in radio. After high school he went on to The University of Toledo and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communications.
After graduating from The Ohio Center for Broadcasting, Eric joined Rubber City Radio Group in 2013 as a Sports Producer for 1590 WAKR. He added on-air duties at WQMX in December 2018 and became the weekday overnight personality in December 2019. Currently, you can hear Eric weekday evenings from 7pm - Midnight!
Eric also taught Drivers Education to high school students across Northeast Ohio for 4 years. In his spare time he loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. He is also a huge Guardians, Cavs, and college football fan. A huge animal lover, Eric has 1 cat named Buttercup.
Friday night I went out to Toledo with my mom and spent the night. Then, on Saturday we went to the Toledo Zoo. It is one of my favorite zoos in the country. I have been going there with family my entire life. It's the right size too - bigger than the Akron Zoo, but smaller and more compact than the Cleveland Zoo or other major city zoos. There were several baby animals including baby…

One of my friends from high school texted me late last week saying that the two of us needed to meet up for dinner. Well, we both love Flan...the Mexican custard dessert, so we wanted to get Mexican for dinner of course! So we met up for dinner Wednesday evening for dinner. Honestly, I don't remember what he had lol (I'm such a great friend aren't I?! haha). I had a taco and an enchilada.…
My cat Buttercup and I have a routine. He gets breakfast when I get home from work. Then lunch comes around noon. Yes, I get up out of bed to feed him and then go back to bed!!! Proves who runs the house right?! haha Tuesday afternoon, I had an a-ha (you dummy why didn't you think of this sooner) moment. Get him an automated timed feeder! That way it'll feed him at the same…
When I was growing up...let's say 12 and younger, I was afraid...DREADED really, going to the dentist. Now as an adult I don't really mind. I don't think anyone is like "YAY!!!! TIME TO GO TO THE DENTIST!!!!!!!" - and that for sure isn't me. However, my appointments last about 45 minutes to an hour and I am able to just go in for my cleaning and exam and then take off. Luckily at 36…
While many of you may have been at Blossom watching Eric Church, I was seeing a different show. I went to see "Lizzie: The Musical" at The Knight Stage in Akron. A "different" take on the life and case of Lizzie Borden. It was sad, dark, at times hilarious, and overall pretty good. It looks into the motives she may have had to kill her father and step mother. As you may remember, she was…

Wednesday was the Summer solstice...the longest day of the year. Around here, sunset was just after 9:00 after a sunrise just before 6:00. These next couple days the sun will continue to set late like that and then start to get earlier until four days before Christmas!!! :( I always say June 21st is one of my least favorite days of the year for that reason - I LOVE late sunsets. I chose the picture…
I told you at the beginning of the month about buying a new ceiling fan for my back porch. Well, I have also been looking for new light fixtures for my kitchen and near my front door by my coat closet. After visiting four stores over the last three weeks, I finally bought some fixtures Tuesday evening! I bought one for the center of my kitchen, one above my kitchen sink, and the one near…
I remember being in High School when Top Thrill Dragster opened in 2003. My friends and I waited 3 hours for our 1st time on the 30 second ride. We loved it immediately! Then two years ago came the accident that shut it down. Now, Cedar Point is working on reimagining the attraction for 2024. What do you think they are doing with it? At this point...I've gotten too far removed from amusement parks to…
I was getting ready to head to Country Fest Friday afternoon when I got a text from my mom asking "Will you PLEASE go see The Little Mermaid in 3D with me tonight?" Since the word please was in all caps, I said I would since this was an unusual request of her. I really didn't have much of a desire to see it but I figured I'd humor her. Of course I have seen…
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have been married for 18 years (since 2005)! That's an eternity in Hollywood! It has now come to light that Trisha really wanted to legally change her last name to Brooks, but Garth said he didn't want her to. It is quite unusual in our society not to change your last name when you get married, but sometimes people don't. I have a friend whose wife didn't change her name…
I saw this list on the internet and HAD to share it because I found it so funny! Apparently if you remember these five things in your life, you are now OFFICIALLY old!! Before you go and make fun of me for calling anyone old, keep in mind at 36...I remember every one of these...LOL 1. Using a pencil to rewind a cassette tape. (many kids now don't even know what these are) 2. Cars…
Growing up in the 90s as I did, I have very fond memories of spending Summer afternoons at Sea World in Aurora. Since the amusement park closed 15 years ago and the water park closed almost 10 years ago there have been plans to try and repurpose the land. Now, the city of Aurora is considering buying a large chunk of the Sea World side of the poperty and turning it into a public park.…
