Brett Young is no actor…
Scotty McCreery set to release a new album…

Brett Young knows his limitations.
He’s a good singer, a good songwriter. But acting? Not so much.
He says, "It's a lot of takes to get an expression on my face. We'll get it, but it's a lot of work. You know I was the one playing music when all my friends were acting. It's always been a skill set that I've been jealous of."

Scotty McCreery is set to release Seasons Change, his first album in five years.
Scotty co-wrote all the tracks on the album. He says, “In the last five years, I have grown from a teenager to a man, moved out on my own, lost my grandfather, proposed to the love of my life and learned more about myself than I could have imagined."
The album drops on on March 16th.

Garth Brooks made a lot of money in 2017…
Garth is thinking stadiums…

Garth Brooks is the country artist who made the most money this year. He brought in $60 million to tie him with Elton John for 11th place on Forbes's list of the Highest Paid Musicians of 2017.
Taylor Swift brought in $44 million and lands at number-17, Kenny Chesney, who took in $42 million, is number-18, and Luke Bryan's $42 million puts him in a three-way tie with Celine Dion and Jay-Z for 19th place.
Diddy tops the list with a $130 million for the year.

And back to Garth- after he wrapped up his three-year tour this past weekend, he and Trisha Yearwood will get back to their normal lives -- but not for long.
He says, "What our future is as touring? I don't know. I can tell you this, what does allow you to do everything is move to bigger places to play. Maybe it's time to look at, can you make a stadium show personal? So that's the next thing."
In addition to possibly playing some stadiums, both Garth and Trisha want to work on new music.

Sara Evans to headline the CMT Next Women of Country Tour…
Jon Pardi wants to do a duet with Miranda Lambert…

Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles and Kelsea Ballerini did it and now Sara Evans will headline for the 4th annual CMT Next Women of Country Tour.
The 15-date tour kicks off on Feb. 12 in New York City and wrap up on April 7 in Alabama. RaeLynn and Kalie Shorr will serve as openers.

It's not a done deal, but if Jon Pardi has his way, Miranda Lambert will be on a song on his new album.

Jon says, “I’m working on it, but we did shake hands. You know Miranda -- she’s a Texan. A handshake goes a long way. There might be some collab on the next record. I’m really excited.”
The song is one that Miranda wrote that Jon picked for the record.
He'll have some time to persuade her -- he's opening on her Livin' Like Hippies tour, which stops a the Wolstein Center in Cleveland on March 3rd.

Blake has a #1 single…

Luke has a #1 album…

Blake Shelton has topped the charts yet again with his latest single, "I'll Name the Dogs." This is Blake’s first single off his new album, Texoma Shore.  And it is worth mentioning it is his 25th number-one single!

Luke Bryan’s sixth studio album, What Makes You Country, debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
It sold over 100,000 albums in its first week, which was good enough to beat Taylor Swift’s Reputation on the all-genre chart.

Rodney Atkins and his wife welcome a son…
Chris Stapleton is the king of jukeboxes…

Congratulations to Rodney Atkins and his wife Rose on the birth of their son, Ryder Falcon.
Ryder was born late last week in Nashville. Ryder gets his middle name Falcon from his mom- that is her maiden name. Rodney has a son, Elijah, from his previous marriage.

Chris Stapleton is king of jukeboxes across the country.
Not only is he the most played artist of 2017, his song "Tennessee Whiskey" is the most played song. Jon Pardi is the top-played newcomer.
Country stars are representing as well because they account for half of the Top 10 artists, and six of the Top 10 songs are country.
