Blake Shelton is opening an entertainment venue…
Garth Brooks’ tour is gearing up to end…

Blake Shelton's entertainment venue, Ole Red, will open its Oklahoma location on September 30th. 
On September 29th, he'll hold a private concert at the venue to benefit J.C. Reaching Out, a local charity that provides financial assistance to family members of people battling cancer. 
The venue is housed in the building that was formerly Miranda Lambert's Pink Pistol boutique. Blake is opening another location in Nashville next year. 

Garth Brooks is getting ready to end is world tour, which started three years ago in Chicago. 
Though this tour is coming to an end, he's looking forward to the next phase in his career. 
He said, “The band and crew’s extremely excited entering our last cities on this tour. But we’re just getting started, as an artist. So, it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Garth was nomination for a CMA earlier this week- Entertainer of the Year. He took the award home in that category last year.

Jo Dee Messina diagnosed with cancer…
CMT names CMT Artist’s of the Year

Jo Dee Messina has been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. The announcement was made yesterday by her team on Facebook. 
Her last tour date will be October 7th. All other shows for 2017 will be postponed while she begins treatment this fall. 
Jo Dee's team will provide updates on her treatment and condition through social media.

Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan have been picked as CMT's Artists of the Year. 
The Artists of the Year have dominated country music over the last 12 months on all fronts -- CMT platforms, radio, album and single sales, and sold-out shows. 
The ceremony airs live from Nashville on October 18th.

Jason Aldean and his wife revealed their baby’s name…
Old Dominion are at #1…

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany are expecting their first child later this year. While they have been open about Brittany's pregnancy, they were keeping their son's name a secret. 
But they had their baby shower recently and decided to reveal his name will be Memphis. 

Old Dominion has a lot to celebrate this week, as "No Such Thing as a Broken Heart" hit the top of the Mediabase Country Airplay chart. 
  
This is Old Dominion's third number-one single and this is the first single off their new album, Happy Endings- which also debuted at number-one!

CMA nominations were announced…
LOCASH has a new member…

Nominees for the 51st annual CMA Awards were announced yesterday. Miranda Lambert tops the list with five nominations. Little Big Town and Keith Urban each got four.
The show, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air on ABC live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 8th.

Chris Lucas of LOCASH is a dad again! He and his wife welcomed a baby girl over the weekend- Violet Reid Lucas. She joins big brother Caden who is 7 and sister Remi who is 17 months. Chris is clearly loving this life!
