Country artists are helping to celebrate the 4th of July!
Trace Adkins and Kellie Pickler have joined the line-up for the Washington, D.C. Independence Day celebration A Capitol Fourth. 
Trace will dedicate his new single, "Still a Soldier," to our troops and veterans. Other performers include The Beach Boys, The Four Tops and Chris Blue, the latest winner of The Voice.
A Capitol Fourth airs on PBS. 

Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum and Craig Campbell will provide the entertainment for Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. The festivities will air live from New York City on NBC. 
Meanwhile back in Nashville, Chris Young takes the stage on Lower Broadway for the Let Freedom Ring Music City fireworks display.

FGL is back at #1 with BSB…
Sam Hunt’s album has gone triple platinum…

Florida Georgia Line and Backstreet Boys are busy celebrating after "God, Your Mama and Me" reached the top of the Mediabase Country Airplay chart over the weekend. Tyler Hubbard said, “It’s another week that I’m reminded of how amazing our team is and and how thankful I am for country radio and all the fans that believe in and support FGL and BSB.”
This is Backstreet Boys' first number-one on the country chart.

Sam Hunt's debut album, Montevallo, has gone triple platinum -- meaning it has sold more than three million copies.
The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart in its first week and remains the best-selling debut album for a country artist since 2011. He is working on his next album, making sure that every song meets the expectation of his fans. 
Sam is also on his 15 in a 30 tour with Maren Morris, Chris Janson and Ryan Follese.

Carrie Underwood to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame…
Garth Brooks to play at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta…

Carrie Underwood will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. She is one of eight musicians named to the class of 2018 and is the only country artist. Other artist to receive a star include Mary J. Blige, Ice T, Snoop Dogg, Harry Connick Jr., and Weird Al Yankovich.

This is just one of the accolades Carrie will receive- she is also being honored by her home state with an induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 2017.

Garth Brooks will be the first act to play at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. 
The show with Trisha Yearwood is scheduled for October 12th. He says, “I’ve visited the stadium twice in the last month, and all I can say is: The fans are going to love it; it’s truly one-of-a-kind."
Tickets go on sale June 30th and it might be worth the road trip.
