Taste of Country recently asked- which country artist has sold the most country albums? The answer is obvious, but the numbers are not!

It's Garth Brooks with 162 million albums sold and his Double Live album is the eighth best-selling album ever, any genre- with over 23 million certified units sold. Garth has 7 albums total that have reached over 10 million in sales.

Coming in at #2 is George Strait 69.5 million and it's really not even close to be honest. He's released 30 albums in 50 years, and his best-seller is a box set called Strait Out of the Box, which has sold over 8 million copies.

Alabama, Shania Twain and Kenny Rogers round out the top 5.
