Every year NEOPAT (Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism) hosts a big Gala in which they honor local military veterans and their families. This is something they do all year round, but on this night they honor a few in particular. It may be a fallen solider, a WWII veteran and of course their families.

On Saturday, I was proud to represent WQMX at their 10th annual Gala. This event is always one of my favorite nights because you get to meet many members of our armed forces, veterans and members of our community that support NEOPAT. You also get to hear from board members all of the great work they have done in the past year with the monies raised and the plans for next year. Something neat about this year was that is was their decade celebration so it was extra special.

Something NEOPAT points out and that I wholeheartedly agree with is- no matter what side of the aisle you sit on, military members, veterans and their families are people we have to support.

Hot Country Knights are putting out an album...

Congratulations go out to Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley. The couple are expecting baby number-three.
On Instagram, Tyler implied that the pregnancy was a surprise, but happily welcomed. He and Hayley are already parents to two-year-old Olivia Rose and six-month-old Luca Reed. Yes that is 3 under 3. All blessings!

Dierks Bentley's Hot Country Knights announced the release of their debut album, The K is Silent. The 10 song project will be available on May 1st and will featuring 2 songs with 2 of the Hottest County Stars- Travis Tritt and Terry Clark.

Everyone is talking Fish Fry this time of year. I am here to tell you about my favorite!

Prosperity Social Club in Tremont- worth the wait, worth the drive if the case. You can make reservations, which I recommend just as much as I recommend the fish fry. They call it the Lenten “Gotta Haddock” Fish Fry. Love that!

You get huge portions, you get pierogies, mac and cheese and cole slaw. I was in heaven the first time I had this fish. Melt in your mouth good, the table was silent. This place is know for it's good food, but they pack the place during lent for the fish on Fridays.

Garth Brooks is headed to Vegas...
New albums on the way from the Dixie Chicks and Kenny Chesney...

Garth Brooks has booked another stadium show -- this time he is going to Las Vegas. The August 22nd show at Allegiant Stadium will be the field's first major concert.
Tickets go on sale on March 13th. 

Dixie Chicks will release Gaslighter -- their fifth studio album and first new studio album in 14 years -- on May 1st. 
The title single and video is out now. 

Kenny Chesney will release his 19th studio album, Here and Now, on May 1st. 
He says, “It’s going to have a high fun factor. People work hard and need music that makes them smile, that kicks them into a happy place. There are also songs here that look at very specific people, that tell one person’s story, but it could be any of us. That’s the mark of a good song: Let one person’s specific life say so much about a lot of people’s lives."
