Happy Random Acts of Kindness DAY!
The idea of Random Acts of Kindness Day was actually started by a non-profit in 1995 in Colorado. It has spread all over the world since. RAK Day is always on February, 17th and then the RAK week is the week surrounding that day.
The concept is simple. You celebrate and encourage random acts of kindness. You pay it forward. You buy someone coffee, their lunch, pay for the person behind you in the drive-thru, open the door for someone, let someone go ahead of you in line, buy someone flowers, compliment someone, take a treat to work, let a car into traffic ahead of you, give a gift to someone for no reason, you get it!
So that is why this week we are randomly giving you prizes from random places and who knows how or when we will give em away?! Tune in and enjoy as we make it rain kindness!

Tanya Tucker's making a follow-up to her Grammy-winning album, While I'm Living, with Brandi Carlisle and Shooter Jennings.
She plans on recording the record live, just as she did with While I'm Living.

It's Mardi Gras!
Mardi Gras Fun Facts:
-Mardi Gras if French for Fat Tuesday!
-Purple, green and gold are the Mardi Gras colors. Purple stands for justice. Green stands for faith. Gold stands for power.
-It’s illegal to ride on a parade float without wearing a mask. (PS- it is illegal to flash to get beads as well- just saying!)
-Mardi Gras features the king cake, typically made with brioche dough braided and laced with cinnamon, then glazed with purple, green and gold sugar or covered in icing in those same Mardi Gras colors. A small plastic baby is hidden inside. Whoever finds the baby in his or her slice must buy the next cake or perhaps host the next party.
-This year due to the pandemic, they are encouraging something called Yardi Gras and having people decorate their yards instead of floats and people will walk around and look at the yards all decorated.
-Mardi Gras isn't only celebrated in New Orleans. There are celebratiosn in France, Rio de Janeiro, Quebec City, and Trinidad and Tobago. Looking for a more local way to celebrate Mardi Gras? Head to Mobile, Alabama, or St. Louis, Missouri.
