Luke Combs released his 6th single ‘Beer Never Broke My Heart’ on Wednesday. If you have seen him in concert, you’ve heard it.

He is poised to make history again as the first country act to ever have their first 6 debut singles go #1- should this tune hit the top of the charts. It is another great tune.

His career has taken off so fast it is certainly impressive. The second leg of his Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour sold out all but 3 of the 29 venues in the first day. I have said this before, I think his popularity is due to the overwhelming fact that he is so relatable. He is a dude’s dude. A guy that you would hang out with a concert and he is singing songs with great lyrics. Luke is on a roll and he is cranking out hit after hit. Keep em coming- I am a fan!

Old Dominion adds tour dates…

Jennifer Nettles is set to be the first female country artist to perform at New York City's iconic Lincoln Center. 
Lincoln Center is home to the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic, the New York City Ballet and the New York City Opera. In addition to Jennifer’s performance at the venue on May 31st, she'll be honored for her work with the 4-H organization and the Human Rights Campaign.

Old Dominion have added new dates to their Make it Sweet tour that will carry them through the end of the year and into early 2020.
There will be a rotation of opening acts that includes Scotty McCreery, Michael Ray and Morgan Evans. There a few stops in Ohio and around the the tri-state area. More details available on their website.

Yes, thanks to City Barbeque in Fairlawn...or should I say thank you T.K. O'Grady from our sister station 97.5 WONE for taking the week off! I'll explain. I was the recipient of a nice surprise on Thursday afternoon when one of the girls in our promotions department (Kelsey) popped into my air studio with a bag of pulled pork sandwiches from City Barbeque in Fairlawn. The only catch was, they weren't for me, they were for T.K. But since he was off this week...well, I can't let good sandwiches go to waste, right?? And by the way...EXCELLENT pulled pork! ;)

I recently was given the chance to do a WQMX Ticket Stop at the Portage Lakes Career Center.  What a great time, and what great people!

We gave out some WQMX t-shirts and some tickets to the Country Fest to some lucky listeners, and I made some new friends!

It felt great to be around a place of learning and to feel the enthusiasm that learning a trade can instill in the young people that go there. And the staff and faculty I met were all terrific and were very eager to show me the results of their dedicated work.

We were set up in horticulture area, where they are now selling beautiful plants that YOU can buy, and they are amazing.  The greenhouse is spectacular and so are the proud kids who work in it. 

So stop by and buy some beautiful plants for your yard. The kids grew them, and you need them!  Every day for the next couple weeks  8AM - 1 PM  (Except Sundays)

Seeing mom happy on Mother's Day is the goal. Today on the Morning Show we asked- mom, what do you REALLY want for Mother's Day??!! The overwhelming response was time by themselves, for their kids to not argue and a spa day! Mom wants some pampering and not to cook either- ha!
