(This is a re-post with a minimal updating from 2 years ago - I received a few requests to post it again after Sundays Browns game)

I grew up in Berea, which is the home of the Cleveland Browns. As a kid I used to go watch them practice at their facility on the Baldwin Wallace campus. I have been a lifelong Browns fan. Even when I moved away for 20 years in various radio markets doing morning shows, I was still a huge fan. Same with the Cav's and Tribe. And still am.

The new thriller, No Good Deed hits theaters this week, and that alone is just flat out too bad.  What a thud.

You can tell that the weather has changed, kids are back in school and fall is in the air.  As a result of all of this, the mood has changed at the movies as the adult movies are here.

Pierce Brosnan is back on the screen in The November Man.

The new nostalgic drama Boyhood is a small Indy flick that has been around for a few weeks now, with some nice success.  This is an award winner, and has enjoyed wonderful critical reviews in very limited release.

The new high school football bio-pic, When The Game Stands Tall is out this week and sadly it fumbles.  You know when you see a ton of hype before a movie on TV? That usually means there is trouble - and there is.

The new teen-drama, If I Stay opened up over the weekend to a decent box office take, but to very mild, if not unkind reviews.

Here comes a great example of a really good and successful book that school kids love becoming a movie. And shouldn't have.
