Local Carry Out: LaLa's in the Lakes
This weekend we got carry out from LaLa's in the Lakes. They are on Manchester Road in Akron, near the Portage Lakes. This place is absolute perfection. Yep, I said it. I heard only good things about LaLa's from friends before the lockdown, then I told my parents to give it a try. No joke, my mom and dad get carry out from here at least 2-4 times a week.
The Warren and I both tried the Filet that came with a baked potato, asparagus and a salad. Everything was delicious. The steak was cooked perfect, the potato was huge, the asparagus was seasoned well, and the salad was delightful. I mean I live 25 minutes from this place and the steak was still warm and perfect!!!! I can't imagine how much better it would be there, served straight from the kitchen.
They have a standing menu, but each day they offer daily specials that they update on their Facebook page. So, check em out! I know I will be back and I can't wait to try more items.

Carrie Underwood said no to FGL- this time...
LANCO is getting another member- sorta...
Florida Georgia Line asked Carrie Underwood to join them on a track for their future release, but she turned them down.
She loved the song, but had to take a pass because- at the time- she was busy promoting her book and didn't have the time.
Tyler and Brian say they are are hopeful that they'll be able to collaborate with Carrie at another time because they are huge fans.
Brandon Lancaster of LANCO and his wife Tiffany are expecting their first child!
Brandon says, "It really is crazy, 'cause I've had big anticipation. I've played really big shows. I've had these incredible experiences, but I can honestly say I don't know if I've ever had anticipation and excitement for something as much as I've had for that day when [my daughter is] actually here."
Their baby girl is due in September, right around the couple's third wedding anniversary.

Local Carry Out: Melt Bar and Grilled
The Warren I used Door Dash for the first time this week and now we are hooked! Last night we got Melt Bar and Grilled because April was Grilled Cheese month and yesterday was the last day of April! Made total sense.
He got the Meatloaf Grilled Cheese and I got the Kindergartner. I am a simple gal! These sandwiches were delicious! Cheesy and huge! We don't live far from the Melt in Belden Village, so the food was still warm when it arrived and we pigged out!

Kane Brown got 2 new dogs...
CMT is planning another special...
Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn adopted one dog, and and then decided- why not make it two dogs! This seems like a lot for a couple with a new baby girl Kingsley in the house, but Kane isn't worried.
He said, "They're good dogs. They're trained. She's only five months old and you don't even know she’s here.”
The first dog is a German Shepherd they named Kenya and second dog will arrive sometime this week.
CMT will not do their annual Artists of the Year celebration, but instead they will present CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special.
Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett will honor those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic with performances from their homes.
The virtual celebration will air on June 3rd on CMT.
