JCPenney at Chapel Hill Mall is the latest department store to announce that it will close. The store will close its doors this spring on April 24th.

I am sure you have heard the drama surrounding the money troubles concerning Chapel Hill Mall, so with JCPenney leaving I am sure this does not bode well for the mall's shaky future.

JCPenney made a statement about the closing saying- it was a business decsion. I hear that and take it to mean the same thing it means for the closure of all the other big chain stores- less people are going in to stores to shop.

If you still shop at JCPenney or at Chapel Hill Mall, you have until April 24th to stop in for some bargains.
