Working Out is For the Birds, But it Works!

I got some great advice yesterday. One bad meal won’t make you fat. One good meal won’t make you skinny. Translation- go easy on yourself, especially this time of year.

Yes, I continue to stay the course of eating healthy and working out- but it is hard! Working out is well, for the birds and I miss carbs! Maintaining my weight loss is something I will struggle with for the rest of my life. This I know. I have lost well over 100 pounds and that is incredible, but I am aware that maintaining those last 15 pounds is a yo-yo game. There are days I eat the pizza, I eat the cookie, I have a beer. Then I make sure I work out more the next day or eat better the next week. I am finding my new balance.

My point is, yes I have one, it is all about balance. You have to find your balance. Working out is for the birds, but along with the right “balanced” diet it works. I make sure I work out in some way, weights, walking, running or some cardio at least 5 days a week. That gives me some wiggle room. And, trust you me- I will be eating all the stuffing, potatoes and pie come Thanksgiving day. It is my balance ;)
