Kane Brown's Good Idea

Written by
This was the subject of my Country Quiz today and I thought I would give you a little more backstory. My question went like this: This singer and his wife had been wanting to record a duet, and he said when he heard their current single for the first time, he knew they found the one! Who is he? Of course the answer I was looking for was Kane Brown, and the song I was referring…

Next From Chris Young: Looking For You

Written by
Chris Young has sent his next single to radio! Chris released two new songs that will be on his upcoming album, which he says is pretty much done, and "Looking For You" will be the lead single. It's a song about love at first sight, sometimes you're looking and you can't find it, then it just happens out of nowhere.

Try Something New: Beef and Broccoli

Written by
On Saturdays, unless our schedule doesn't allow (then we move it), we have a family night with games and hopefully new food! Just a fun way to try a new dish (mostly the kids) and get everyone in the kitchen cooking! This weekend, before playing a few rounds of Mario Party (our activity of choice), we made Beef and Broccoli.  Pretty easy to make, and we also did a small portion of chicken, which we…

It's Time. I Think?

Written by
I was thinking that maybe this weekend I will take down and clean up the Christmas decor. I think it's time, but I wrestle with it because I love Christmas, and how pretty my trees look at night, and how my fresh cut tree smells, and all the decor! I saw some of my neighbors taking advantage of the nice weather last weekend, taking down their outdoor decorations, but I couldn't bring myself to do…

"Memory Lane" was written by Matthew Ramsey with bandmates Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, as well as songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon, and is filled with nostalgia. They say the song is about living in your memory and going back to that spot where things were good, and wanting to live there because it…

Time To Wrap!

Written by
I am taking tomorrow off and I'm doing a couple of things I have been putting off (not intentionally): baking cookies and wrapping gifts! I really like wrapping gifts, especially the ribbon and bows, but it does take a while to get it done. So cookies first, lol! By now, you may know I am a fan of Babs and her account Brunch with Babs, always coming through with the helpful tips and advice. In…

Christmas Lights!

Written by
Christmas lights are one of the most wonderful things about Christmas in my opinion. I love driving around with my family and looking at all the displays that everyone has put so much effort and Christmas spirit into! It's a tradition to jump in the car with cups of hot cocoa to seek out all the pretty lights! Country Living put together a list of the 41 Best Most Magical Christmas Light Displays Across the U.S.…
