Last year in November, new ownership took over at Hill's Supply in Canal Fulton, and this year the company is thrilled to celebrate 40 years of taking care of the needs of Dairy Farmers locally, and in neighboring states.

The company lost its founders in 2016 and had a couple rough years since, but thankfully the new owners and their loyal customers stuck around and helped them get through those difficult times, now Hill's Supply hopes to continue providing equipment, as well as Service, to Dairy Farms near and far for many more years to come.

The Canton Repository has a fantastic write up about their story for you, HERE

It's Yankee Peddler time again!

For the 47th year the Yankee Peddler Festival is up and running at Clay's Park Resort in Canal Fulton.  The annual event kicked off over Labor Day weekend and will continue over the next couple of weekends and offers visitors a chance to step back in time to a Colonial atmosphere from 200 years ago.  Master Artisans and craft makers, authentic foods and demonstrations for all ages are all around the 75 acres along the woods and streams.

You can visit Yankee Peddler on September 14th-15th and September 21st-22nd from 10:30am-6:00pm.

It's that time of year again!  Those sleepy little towns along the Ohio & Erie Canalway start to wake up and celebrate their history and what makes them unique with "The Olde Canal Days" Festivals.  I grew up going to the one in Roscoe Village in Coshocton County, where my mom is from and where we lived for a few years as a kid, but of course the one in my adopted hometown of Canal Fulton is a much shorter drive these days, and it starts TONIGHT!

So much to do, so much to EAT and of course the Amusement Rides and Games and vendors and all the other stuff you expect and love at any small town fair or festival.

There will be Live Music, great foods of all kinds that it seems you can only find at these types of events, board the St. Helena III to trek down the Canal like they did many years ago, museum tours will be available and of course there will be a Grande Parade Saturday Morning and Fireworks on Saturday night... and the weather looks like it should cooperate for the better part of most of the 3 day event that runs July 11-13th.  See you there!

VIDEO: St. Helena Park in Canal Fulton

While creeping along (due to higher than normal pedestrian traffic levels more than the water levels) on the Cherry Street Bridge in Canal Fulton Tuesday afternoon, my son Maks and I shot this VIDEO of some of the flooding in our quiet little town.  I've lived in CF for the last 13 years and I've seen this area fill with a few inches of water on many occasions, but never like this.  Please be safe out there and check on your loved ones, neighbors and friends in impacted areas during the next few days.
