WYNN - My Sunday Morning Song!

SW small Logo Summer is here and so are the summer songs. Brian Kelley from Florida Georgia Line has released this song for the warm weather.  Former partner is FGL, Tyler Hubbard is having great success solo, and now it's time to see how Kelley fares with this single.  It's certainly a summer song, so grab a coffee and some earbuds and let's ease into Sunday.

Well the weekend is here and THURSDAY on Prime Time TV, the NFL finally announced their entire 2022 football schedule including the Browns.

They had leaked bits and pieces all week, and made a big deal about the entire deal, as they do with about everything.  They are masters of that. They can create a real thirst with fans with about anything they see fit.  And the public just eats it up. This amazing marketing is one of the absolute separators the NFL has in contrast to other sports. Think about this, these busy weeks have the following:

NBA Playoffs  -  NHL Playoffs  - MLB on every night - and the PGA is in high gear.  But they all have to get in the back seat yet again as the NFL decided to make announcing their schedule an event!  We have known for many months who the Browns are playing this year, and where.  We just didn't know when. The NFL puts all other sports on the back burner by just making you wait to learn the actual dates of the games.  It also shows you how little many people care about other sports.

I say, who cares?  Well  - I do get it to a degree for those who may travel to a game, as Browns fans are known to be some of the most traveled in the league, especially to warm weather cities. So it's nice to be able to plan.  But laying that aside, you're playing 17 games and you get around to playing everyone on your list eventually. But for many, things like this are a very big deal.  And now it's out there for all the amateur experts to break it down for us on Twitter and Facebook and tell us what it all means.  Oh, happy day.

So thanks to the NFL we can all resume our daily lives.

WYNN - Support Local Car Washes

It's that week, the temps are up a bit and we look at our cars and go, sheesh!  I don't know about you, but my car had about 25 pounds of road gunk on it and I couldn't wait to get it taken care of.  So I went out over the weekend, to Ultimate Car Wash in Streetsboro, not far from the house and got it washed. I love being in the Clean Car Club!

So this week, please support your local car wash place as they have been waiting to see you all winter!   You'll have a clean car and you'll support local people working at local businesses.

And keep in mind, you'll be in your warm car, but they will be out in the cold, so please tip them well. Also, check into monthly plans at your favorite car wash, you can save a ton of money and always have a clean car! And while you're there, maybe a gift certificate for someone.

Local Car Washes Have A Friend In Me!   They are a hard working bunch!

Thanks!

As we are waiting for life to get back to normal, we have found ourselves thinking things we do not normally think. After all, quiet time is seldom that in the mind.  At least for me.  Today I was out with WQMX on the radio, washing my beautiful 2020 Ford Escape (above) I leased at Klaben Ford in Kent.

As I was cleaning her up, I got to thinking on how much I like to drive this car, and that I don't get to do that as much these days.  But that will change. And I also deducted, this is the best car I have ever owned. - By a lot!   And I've owned a bunch in my life.  When Richard Klaben recommended this machine and told me of all the improvements Ford had made, his word was, and is good enough for me. As it always has been, for many years now. I signed and was on my way.  Best decision in a while.

I am a Ford guy. That statement is not meant to start a Ford VS. GM, or Ford VS. Mopar conversation.  All of the American auto makers are making the best cars in their history.  But Ford has a ton of connection to this general area, with the Brook Park Plant, among others.  I am also glad to see Ford is making ventilators in this fight we are in which makes me think I've hitched my wagon to the right horse.  Klaben too is a local company, so are we at WQMX, and I am a proud endorser of Klaben and have been for years.  I have bought, or leased cars from them, and will continue to do so.

My Escape is one amazing car. It's a middle of the road model, and it has all of the things one needs to have an incredible driving experience.  Now, I'm not saying for a minute that this has more style than a mid-60's Mustang, or even my 1974 Chevelle, (below) but there is no comparison on its engineering and dependability.  I am not one wishing for the good old days for cars and trucks.  I want the old ones to always exist, but I want the technology that is in the modern cars, from the Eco-Boost engine, to the Smart Trac grip on the road, to the heated seats.

My First Real Car Back In The Day

Klaben 1974

Of all the cars I've had from Klaben over many years, and this is the best one.  I have never really felt that way about any car before. They have all been great!  But this one stands out, and I look forward to the next one somewhere up the road as Ford makes even more improvements. And combined that with great and honest people like Klaben who are here to make sure we all have exactly what we need as drivers.  Please support local business now  - especially now, and continue that habit when we come out the other side of this.

I Loved My Ford Focus (2014) And My Ford Escape (2011) I Bought And Leased From Klaben

And we will, without question.  And the local businesses will not forget we supported them at the most crucial time.

Also Important -  Read this from Richard Klaben

May 23 What is Red Nose Day?

May 23 is Red Nose Day.

Created to keep children in need safe, healthy, and educated. It began in the UK as Comic Relief and adopted here in the US in 2015.

The children it benefits are here in the US and other poor communities around the globe.  It could be vaccinations, books, or a safe place to stay during the summer.

Walgreens is the location to pick up your Red Nose, or drop off an old one for recycling.

Be silly and have fun while rasing money for the youngsters who need it the most!
