On this day in 1969 The Beatles gave their last concert.

Twinkees will be naming a new buyer soon.  Hostess has already agreed to deal their Drake's band to McKee Foods Corp. for $27.5 million, that includes Ring Dings, Yodels and Devil Dogs.  McKee makes Little Debbie snacks.

In Georgia, two men have been arrested for stealing $65,000 worth of frozen chicken wings from the cold storage business where they worked. The two guys used a rental truck to load 10 pallets of Tyson frozen chicken wings. That’s 26,000 pounds of wings.

There is an actual movement to make the day after the Superbowl a National Holiday.   It's a petition on the White House Website.  Law says after 25,000 signatures that White House must respond somehow.
More than 7.5 million people will buy a new television leading up to the Super Bowl, up from 5.1 million last year.

After all, her boss at NBC, Jeff Zucker is the new president CNN.   But inside sources are saying Zucker “doesn't believe Curry is the answer to CNN's problems.” He would never offer Curry an anchor job in a coveted prime time slot. Nor would he meet her salary demands that likely approach $10 million. A source at CNN says Ann Curry is overpaid and under-talented to be hired for a prime time anchor job

Taylor Swift's Red, which came out in October, reeled in the most platinum certifications of any album for 2012. In just one month, it sold three million copies.   Jason Aldean's Night Train, Lionel Richie's Tuskeegee and Carrie Underwood's Blown Away all earned platinum designations.

Research has found that people seek out high-calorie comfort foods when they are going through tough, highly stressful times in their lives.  The research found that tough times can trigger the brain to go into an emergency state that compels the body to eat as much as it can in  case food becomes scarce. So next time you have a pretty bad breakup or the kids are driving you crazy, blame your eating binge on your self- preservation instincts!
