Roses are the most popular Valentine's Day flower, and while they all send a message of affection, the color you pick can make a big difference.

  • Red roses signify romantic love.
  • White roses stand for purity and innocence.
  • Orange roses signal desire.
  • Pink blooms signify appreciation.
  • Yellow roses are the color of friendship

Valentine's Day is the perfect time of year to reveal your true feelings to that person you've been crushing on. Before laying it all out on the line, however, follow these guidelines to help you determine if he is actually into you too. Nothing hurts more than pouring your heart out to someone who only sees you as a friend.

Here are the signs that your he's not into you that way ...

  • He doesn't engage in in-depth conversations with you: If he is a man of very few words, or even short with you, it's his way of trying to let you know, "I don't want to be rude, but I am not into this."

  • He doesn't respond to all  your texts or calls: If he sometimes replies and sometimes doesn't, chances are high that he's probably not that into you.

  • He flirts with other girls in front of you: Girls love to brush this off as "he's just a flirt" or "he is so outgoing," but the truth is, if I guy is into you, he is not trying to work the room. His attention would be on you!

  • He avoids physical contact: If he keeps you at arms length and isn't receptive to a hug and kiss hello ... he doesn't want a physical relationship with you. (Gurl)

A restaurant waiter in Houston, Texas, is being hailed as a hero online for standing up for a five-year-old customer with Down Syndrome.

Michael Garcia refused service to a family after hearing their complaints about a boy named Milo, who was seated with his family at another table. Michael moved the complaining family, but they weren’t satisfied. When the father allegedly said, “Special needs children need to be special somewhere else,” Michael took a stand and said, “Sir, I won’t be able to serve you.”

The eatery’s Facebook page blew up with comments supporting Michael for putting his job on the line for a stranger. Milo’s mom added her thanks online, posting on a friend’s page, “Yay for people like Michael … who not only love [my son] Milo for who he is – a customer and little boy with Down syndrome – but stand up for him no matter what.”

With one of the worst flu seasons in history under way, it is important that people take the necessary steps at work to avoid getting themselves – or others – sick.

  • Beware of common items – Studies have shown that worst areas in offices are sink faucet handles, microwave door handles and keyboards.

  • Wash hands – Wash your hands before eating, after reading magazines in the break room and after meetings where you’re shaking hands with people. Hands should be washed with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Stay hydrated – Dehydration leads to a weaker immune system, so keep a jug of water at your desk.

  • No touching – Make a conscious effort to not touch your face during the workday. Touching your eyes, nose and mouth gives germs direct access to the body and sets you up for disaster. Complete article (Mashable.com)
