Meet Storm aka Cody … because he is a Lab, this is one highly adoptable dog. Though Storm doesn’t have special needs he is a special boy. His back legs appear to have grown a bit crocked so he is perfect looking but has an anomaly in the way that he walks. It appears to be a birth defect that does not limit him in his daily living but might limit him in his ability to get adopted. Sadly, some people look for perfection in a dog and will overlook him because of it. Storm may not be perfect but which one of us is? Did you know that Labs are the #1 most desired breed in this country? And, the number one breed to end up orphaned in shelters too. Why? Because breeders over-breed to meet the demands of the public. Given the proper nurturing, these dogs are smart and loyal and a friend for life! Storm loves attention and wants to be with people. He is one very, very strong boy and was agreeable, but energetic, in his photo-shoot. He loved his toys, knew basic commands and took his treats nicely. He will need kind training to become the dog that he was born to be and to help him bridle his energy. Don't delay ... Storm is looking for his family today!

Note: Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home. For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks. You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity. We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy. Assume they know nothing and begin at step one. You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to work on with your new family member. It's called commitment! And, that's what these pets want more than anything!

Grace is one Gentle Giant as young dogs go! We believe her to be less than 1 year old. She is definitely concerned for her where-abouts in the shelter and she appears very timid. She cowers if you come over head which leads me to believe that she may have been dealt with harshly. She loved to be cuddled and grew in her confidence as she felt safe with us during her photo-shoot. She takes treats gently and has the most huggable demeanor. Just because she is a big girl doesn’t mean that we can expect mature behaviors from her. She’s still young and unsure of herself. Grace needs your love and kind teachings to become the dog that she was born to be. We loved working with her .. and you will too.
