MEET SAVAGE!

Savage is an owner surrender and he is very sad about his fate. He is confused with the environment and he wants to go home. He was surrendered because his owner was not allowed to have him in his apartment so now, this handsome guy will pay the price. He is concerned with other canine companions so he appears to want to be an only dog - or at least pick which dogs he will become friends with https://www.facebook.com/images/emoji.php/v8/f4c/1/16/1f642.png:). Nothing wrong with that ... after all, we don't like everyone we meet either! Once we offered him affection, he readily accepted and rewarded us with a happier version of himself. Within minutes, we were his friend but sadly, we had to return him to his kennel. Don't delay ... adopt Savage TODAY!

SCAC hours of operation: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 10am-5pm, Wednesday10am-7pm, Saturday10am-3pm. Closed on holidays. Phone number: (330)643-2845

Though it's best to visit in person, when calling to check the availability of a pet, please use the ID#, not the pet's name. This is the fastest way for staff to give you the most accurate information on a pet's status possible

Note:  Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home.  For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks.  You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity.  We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy (or kitty).  Assume they know nothing and begin at step one.  You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to kindly work on with your new family member.  It's called commitment!  And, that's what these pets want more than anything!
