Here's a great excuse to do some spring cleaning! WQMX and our sister stations WAKR and WONE will be accpeting donations for the vvictims of Superstorm Sandy this Satruday April 27 from 9 AM to 4 PM. A semi-truck will be set up in our parking lot at 1795 West Market St, Akron, OH. Please bring donations of new, and clean, gently-used clothing, household items, school supplies and non- perishable food for those survivors of Super Storm Sandy’s wrath and now are facing the nearly insurmountable task of putting the pieces of their lives back together.
The event is sponsored locally by JW Didado working with the HALO Foundation (Hope Always Lives On) is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization, based in Akron, Ohio, embracing the concept of promoting service for those in crisis, including charitable activities, as seeds of hope and restoration. Hey I'm Dax, and I'm one cool dog. I'm being fostered right now, but if you'd like to meet me, call OOAKP and they will set up a time.
Now, I'm more than just a handsome face, I have a great personality. Which is surprising due to my unfortunate past. I came in with Joelle (a little miniature pincher). We were left at an empty house much to the new owners surprise. Both of us were emaciated and in need of care. It's nice to be in a foster home where I am wanted and loved, but I know there's a “forever home” out there for me. I love toys beyond belief! Fetch is a lot of fun... but I can also entertain myself for a long time, especially with a tennis ball, my favorite toy ever! I know that I have to go in a crate when you go out and I am happy to do so, but I do enjoy sleeping in the same room as you - either in my own bed on the floor or your bed will work for me too. I get along with most other dogs, but I am dominant... however, once I'm put in my place and know my boundaries, I'm a good boy. I know some basic commands like sit and shake, and I'm trying very hard to catch on to lay down. My foster mom says I walk best when using an easy-walk harness because without it, I'm a bit of a puller. The best part about me is that I love to cuddle, and, unfortunately, I don't know my own size... I think I was supposed to be a lap dog. I just want to be with humans … and toys! Remember, I'm good-looking and purebred so I won't be available long. Don’t delay, call OOAKP to arrange our meeting today!
