Meet CeCe and Maggie ... they are a bonded pair ...

A “rite of passage” is a ritual event that marks a person's transition from one status to another.  It’s a theory of socialization and with it comes additional privileges.  We think of it as a phase between childhood, becoming a teenager, and then transitioning to adulthood.  As we encounter these milestones there is an expectation that we have grown in maturity and our ability to relate appropriately in society.

In their accelerated lifetime, our canine companions experience the same phases.  The irresistible pup will become that ornery teenager in just 26 weeks of age.  And at 1 year, a dog is considered to be an adult.  Without love and training, and through no fault of their own, a dog may fall behind what is expected at each milestone.   With much life to live, many of these deserving pets end up in shelters.  It is important that pet owners know their limits.  If they can’t commit a significant amount of time during the young life of a pup then adoption of a mature dog is a wonderful option!

CeCe and Maggie are young dogs that entered the shelter together and would like to go to their forever home as sisters. When Maggie is out of her sister’s sight, a younger CeCe becomes noticeably concerned.  Unfortunately, these sweet girls never experienced security as they reached specific milestones in their lives and they lack confidence.  They will transition beautifully into a new home and will be grateful for the full life that they were born to live.  Do you have room in your home and heart for two?
