Gentle Reminder Fathers Day is Sunday......just sayin'
Recent surveys have shown that we spend 40 percent more on Mother’s Day than on Father’s Day? Here are some reasons dads get cheated on Father’s Day – and just don’t care:
They don’t speak up – Dads are wired to be providers. It doesn’t feel right for them to ask their kids to provide them with stuff.
They have expensive tastes – Dad’s hobbies can be pretty expensive. A wacky T-shirt isn’t going to cut it.
Lack of emotion – Father’s Day just doesn’t have the emotional significance of Mother’s Day. Dads don’t want a party thrown in their honor. Instead, they’d rather just be left alone. (Time)

And...according to a new survey from Pew Research, men have more time for fun than women do. Guys spend more time than women on TV, exercise, and other leisure activities – even though men and women spend roughly the same amount of time working each week. Men end up spending an average of five extra hours each week unwinding and playing than women, mostly because guys are able to get away – and many women are stuck home, being interrupted by their kids. There’s a new word to describe taking a vacation from technology. It’s a Braincation. These days we all really need a vacation away from our phones, laptops and other gadgets. It’s called a “Braincation,” and some resorts are even offering these to help quiet the mind. When you check into a place that offers a braincation, sometimes you leave your phone at the desk, and other times, you’re just not allowed to use it in public.(Some places double down, doing “silent hours” where you it's not only a phone-free zone ... you can’t talk at all!)
