5 Things to Do Labor Day Weekend

We have a few more weeks before the "official" end of summer, but Labor Day makrs the "unofficial" end for many. So before the great weather ends, make sure you get some activities in that you've been meani`ng to do:

~Host a BB-Q. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Invite a few friends, ask everyone to bring something and enjoy some food and good company. It's an inexpensive way to have a fun evening out.

~Light a Bonfire: There is nothing like roasting marshmallows, making a s'more or sipping a beverage around a campfire with friends. Maybe someone can play the guitar and make it s sing-a-long!  Make sue you follow common sense safety rules using a fire pit or enclosure to safely contain your fire.

~Go shopping. Take adavantage of the end of summer deals. Most retailers are clearing out summer clothes making way for fall and winter and yet, there's still plenty of time to wear summer clothes. Plus, now that the kids are back in school, you know exactly what they need for supplies that may not have been on the list, or clothes.

~Go to a local park and take a walk or bike ride on a trail. Akron has the amazing Towpath Trail. Or take your dog to the Akron Bark Park on Memorial Parkway in west Akron.

~Sleep: A long weekend is always a good time to catch up on sleep, read a book, and overall just relax.
