How To Get Served Quickly at the Bar

Scientists Discover How to Get Served First at a Bar

It’s always awesome when scientists put their big brains and fancy education to use solving important problems in our lives – such as how to get served first when you go to the bar.

Well, researchers at Germany's Bielefeld University figured out what kind of body language is needed to get the bartender moving in your direction.

Apparently, standing squarely at the bar and looking directly at the bartender as he or she moves around is the way to go.

On the other hand, standing sideways and squeezing between other customers is a bad play. So is talking to friends or looking at menus.

Just gesturing to your bartender is also not a winning strategy – but doing so while holding cash helps. (Telegraph)
